The high performance tooling system 229 was chosen to be used for the high polish machining on the aluminum wheels.
Important during the design stage was to guarantee that the insert remains in the toolholder pocket also using the system on a reverse cutting prcess.
This system is used for extreme wheel contours.

Requirements:
- No burrs
- No open material structure on the machined
surface
- High quality coating of the wheel
- Continuous shine of the wheel surface
